  June 6, 2009 — Fourth Anniversary and Dinner Dance Celebration at St. Peters Episcopal Church in Redwood City. A night in Italy!
February 15, 2009 — The ordination of Rev. Jill Sizemore, who joined the volunteer Clergy of PMCC.
November 4, 2008 — Proposition 8 passes and same-sex marriage licenses are no longer issued. The 20 marriages performed by PMCC Clergy remain valid until the case is heard by the CA Supreme Court.
October 8, 2008 — Celebrated the ordination of Rev. Alice Cabotaje, who jointed the volunteer Clergy of PMCC.
June 17, 2008 — California begins issuing marriage licenses, PMCC members and clergy spent the day at the San Mateo county courthouse solemnizing weddings and celebrating engagements.
May 31, 2008 — PMCC Third Anniversary Party. DÕanne Bruetch given the Volunteer of the Year award.
May 12, 2008 — The ordination of Rev. Tim Agar, and the blessing of his first call to MCC NOVA
May 15, 2008 — Supreme Court of California rules that the state cannot prohibit same-sex marriages
February 16, 2008 — Recognized the ordination of Rev. Tim Hamilton with a delegation to MCCLA. Blessed him and his first call, to hospice chaplaincy.
July 15, 2007 — Celebrated our first infant christening/baptism. Ethan James Howard, grandchild of member, Ellen Selover.
July, 2007 — Hired Wayne Self as the new Minister of Music.
June 17, 2007 — Celebrated the service of our first Music Director, Caroline Smith. She resigned her position to pursue the dreams of her family to make music professionally full time. May we always be blessed with such talent!
June 2, 2007 — Our second anniversary event, a southwest-themed Dinner and Dance at the Coyote Club Yacht Club. An award of special recognition was given to Joe Karpowicz for his service as the liason to the College Heights Community in the area of building and grounds, as well as his able and faithful service as the Board member and regular usher. Over 70 people participated in this festive event!
May 12, 2007 — Celebrated in the presence of community (our first "in house") the ordination of Rev. Carol Lowe, who accepted a call to serve as volunteer clergy at the Peninsula MCC.
Jan 13, 2007 — Blessed the ordination of Rev. Patrick Rogers (held at his home church, the Sunshine Cathedral on Florida). Patrick was the first PMCC intern to be ordained an MCC minister. He accepted a call to MCC Topeka, KS.
January 2007 — Called to service our first Advanced (2nd year) seminary intern, Tim Hamilton. He served through the summer.
June 3, 2006 — Our first anniversary event, a dinner and auction held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Foster City. An award of special recognition was given to Dan Leifker for his extensive service helping to establish the church as an organizer, as well as his service as treasurer, bookkeeper, and wise counsel to the pastor. Over 80 in attendance.
Feb 11, 2006 — Celebrated our first wedding. Sylvia Domagalski and Colleen Minelli were united in love in the company and with the blessing of community. We pray for the day the state and federal government catch up to us.
September 2005 — Called to service our first class of seminary interns: Alice Cabotaje, Patrick Rogers, Carole Lowe, and Tim Agar.
Aug 21, 2005 — Celebrated a service of full recognition by the Metropolitan Community Churches, and the installation of the Founding Pastor, Rev. Terri Echelbarger. Over 100 people joined us on the joyous day, including Rev. Elder Debbie Martin, Rev. Dr. Penny Nixon and many others from MCCSF as well as representatives from New Spirit Community church.
June 5, 2005 — Accepted first class of 29 members and 5 friends, and held our first congregational meeting. Congregation votes to change its name to Peninsula MCC, elects Rev. Terri Echelbarger as Founding Pastor, chooses UFMCC as its denomination, passes a budget, and elects a Board of Directors. Attendance at worship averages thirty persons.
March 28, 2005 — First worship service, Easter Sunday. Forty-seven persons attend.
March 20, 2005 — MCC San Francisco holds a New Ministry Fundraiser for That New Church. Rev. Echelbarger, her partner Eileen McCree, and the Steering Committee are commissioned at the MCC San Francisco evening service. (Bryce Current, Bob Auleb, Dan Leifker, Merv C., Stanley and Phil Smith-Hanes.)
March 6, 2005 — New Spirit Community Church welcomes Rev. Echelbarger to their pulpit and takes a love offering for That New Church.
Feb 14, 2005 — That New Church, as an act of love, is legally established on Valentine's Day.
Feb 10, 2005 — UFMCC provides a grant of start-up funds for That New Church.
Feb 8, 2005 — College Heights Church, a United Church of Christ Congregation, agrees to be the host facility for That New Church.
Jan 28, 2005 — First official event—a potluck! Twenty-one persons attend. Events are planned monthly.
Jan 13, 2005 — First meeting of the Steering Committee, which explores establishing a church in the San Mateo County area. This group meets weekly to pray and plan. Belmont UCC is the host facility for our initial gatherings.
Jan 10, 2005 — Regional Elder Rev. Debbie Martin gives permission for a church plant to proceed into its organizational stages, based on research, a plan, web survey results, and an interested core for the Steering Committee.
October 2004 — With the full support of Rev. Dr. Penny Nixon and the MCCSF Board of Directors, Rev. Terri Echelbarger goes to part-time at MCCSF to pursue establishing a new church, talking with people, and conducting research.
September 2004 — A domain name is purchased and a Web site is established for That New Church to explore the interest levels in a preliminary site choice of San Mateo County. The Web site includes an on-line survey.
Spring 2004 — Based, in part, on the large success of New Spirit Community Church (founded with the support of MCC San Francisco in 2000), informal conversations begin with Rev. Debbie Martin, Rev. Dr. Penny Nixon, Rev. Dr. Jim Mitulski, Rev. Karen Foster, Rev. Terri Echelbarger, and others regarding the possibility of establishing a new MCC in the San Francisco Bay Area. Target areas are San Mateo, Coastside, or Marin County. An exploration process of prayer and discernment begins.
